Its revenue, however, grew 19 per cent year on year to ₹1,319.6 crore in the quarter.
The average landed cost of milk procurement rose 11 per cent year on year to ₹47.73 a litre, driven by sustained demand, limited improvement in arrivals, and higher feed and fodder costs.
EBITDA fell 4 per cent to ₹74 crore, with the margin shrinking by 133 bps to 5.6 per cent. Sequentially, the margin recovered by 98 bps.
Milk revenue grew 8.5 per cent on 2.5 per cent volume growth, while average realisation rose 6 per cent to ₹60.34 a litre during the quarter.

“Milk procurement volumes were 17.28 lakh litres per day (LLPD) in the second quarter, showing a growth of over 7 per cent over the same quarter last year. Milk sales volumes were 12.35 LLPD, reflecting a growth of over 2.5%,” the company said in a statement on Thursday.
